Deliverance Ministry: Then and Now

Jesus spent a good part of his ministry teaching about and dealing with spiritual warfare and the demonic realm. If you consider his public ministry, he spent the bulk of his time preaching, healing, and delivering people.

Accounts of Jesus ministering deliverance are plentiful:

● Mark 1:23-28 Jesus cast a demon out of a man in a synagogue
● Luke 13 – Jesus casts the spirit of infirmity out of a woman
● Matthew 8:16 – Jesus set many free with a word
● Matthew 8:28-34 – Gadarene demoniacs

We can see that he trained the disciples to do ministry, gave them the authority to heal and cast out demons (Matthew 10:1, Matthew 10:7-8,) and sent them out. After Jesus death, resurrection and ascension, we see the early church ministering deliverance also.

Steps to Freedom

It is a process, not a “one and done,” and we understand that it is Christ who does the work (and gets the glory) because He has given us (the church) authority and power according to His Holy Spirit at work within us. We rely upon the gifts of the Holy Spirit when we minister and always ask them to be present and to work through us.

Unforgiveness

The Bible has a lot to say about unforgiveness. Matt 6:14-15 says “that if we do not forgive men their sins that God will not forgive our sins”

The parable of the unmerciful servant in Matthew 18:22-35 provides one of the most compelling evidence for demonic torment arising from unforgiveness. In v. 34, Jesus explains that when we have unforgiveness towards someone, God himself turns us “over to the tormentors” to be tortured. What an indictment! To emphasize his point, he tells us in v. 35 that our Heavenly Father will treat us the same way unless we forgive our brothers from our hearts! Forgiveness is a choice that we make and is not based on our emotions.

Healing and Deliverance

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken hearted and to announce that captives shall be released and the blind shall see, that the down-trodden shall be freed from the oppressors, and that God is ready to give blessings to all who come to him.”  Luke 4:18-19

Our prayer ministry is Holy Spirit lead and  training is based on biblical teaching which includes forgiving, confession of sin, repenting, receiving forgiveness, cutting bondages, binding and casting out unclean spirits, shattering images,  and receiving healing of wounds through healing prayers.

This ministry is designed for believers and future believers. For those who find themselves in crisis the ministry aims to save, and deliver. Helping people submit their lives and problems to God’s forgiveness and healing.

Prayer times are conducted by   experienced teamer teams working in unity with Holy Spirit.

Many say, “I’m just waiting on God,” but Scripture shows that waiting was never meant to replace obedience.

There are times when God says Be still. And there are times when God says Move.Israel waited at the Red Sea—God said:“Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the people to move forward.” — Exodus 14:15Sometimes what we call waiting is really fear dressed as faith—hesitation disguised as patience. But when we move when He says move, and wait when He says wait, we need not fear the outcome—for the God who calls us also goes with us.David waited for his crown. The disciples waited for the Spirit. Some waiting is commanded and holy. But faith without action is dead (James 2:17).Waiting becomes disobedience when it’s fear, hesitation, or delay of what God already told us to do.If God has spoken—obedience is the next step.Sometimes the real question isn’t: Are we waiting on God?but Is God waiting on us? ... “Waiting Can Become Withholding”

Waiting is meant to be holy — a space of trust, surrender, and quiet obedience. But if we’re not careful, waiting can become withholding. It happens when our pause turns into hesitation, when discernment turns into delay, and when faith cools into comfort. We start calling our fear “wisdom” and our inaction “patience.”True waiting keeps the heart burning, ready to move the moment God says, “Go.” But false waiting — withholding — grows lukewarm. It hides behind devotion while resisting obedience.God doesn’t bless delay disguised as faith. He blesses the heart that listens and moves when He speaks. ... See MoreSee Less
