Deliverance Ministry: Then and Now

Jesus spent a good part of his ministry teaching about and dealing with spiritual warfare and the demonic realm. If you consider his public ministry, he spent the bulk of his time preaching, healing, and delivering people.

Accounts of Jesus ministering deliverance are plentiful:

● Mark 1:23-28 Jesus cast a demon out of a man in a synagogue
● Luke 13 – Jesus casts the spirit of infirmity out of a woman
● Matthew 8:16
● Matthew 8:28-34 – Gadarene demoniacs
● Mark 1:23-34

We can see that he trained the disciples to do ministry, gave them the authority to heal and cast out demons (Matthew 10:1, Matthew 10:7-8,) and sent them out. After Jesus death, resurrection and ascension, we see the early church ministering deliverance also.

Healing and Deliverance

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken hearted and to announce that captives shall be released and the blind shall see, that the down-trodden shall be freed from the oppressors, and that God is ready to give blessings to all who come to him.”  Luke 4:18-19
Prayer Sessions are based on biblical teaching which includes confession of sin, forgiveness, assurance of forgiveness and absolution.  from sin, healing, deliverance and empowered by Holy Spirit bondages/strongholds are cut in the name of Jesus, by the blood shed at Calvary, spirits are bound and cast out in the name of Jesus, by the blood shed at Calvary, Smashing of images, and cleansing and healing of wounds through healing prayers. A fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit, claim gifts, claim fruits of the spirit, and Gods armor is place upon the person receiving ministry.

This ministry is designed for believers and future believers. For those who are in crisis the ministry aims to save, deliver, and equip. as a crisis ministry but rather to facilitate a deep and profound work, helping people submit their lives and problems to God’s forgiveness and healing, being conducted by an experienced team working in unity with Holy Spirit to facilitate a totally confidential ministry.

"Words are of no importance unless the believer has the assurance of the abiding of those words. You can quote the words of Scripture without being in the place of victory."

(Smith Wigglesworth)You can quote Scripture all day, but if you don’t truly believe and live by it, those words won’t bring victory. Faith isn’t just about knowing the Word—it’s about abiding in it, trusting it, and walking in its truth.Let God’s Word be more than just something you recite—let it be the foundation of your life! #FaithInAction #LiveTheWord #VictoryInChrist ... WARRIORS READY FOR BATTLE

Remember what it is like to be “under the gun”? That is what it has been like for me. I need to get a letter put together and on its way”. But inspiration seems to have disappeared, or more actually, never appeared. Ever been in a similar situation? Anyway, I have been looking for a passage of Scripture for several days that just “grabbed me” as I read Nothing!Just now I sat down, opened my Bible and there it was!“Some Gadites defected to David at his stronghold in the desert. They were brave warriors, ready for battle and able to handle the shield and spear. Their faces were the faces of lions, and they were as swift as gazelles in the mountains.” (I Chronicles 12:8) We are the “Gadites” of the day. We are brave warriors. We have faced our sins and received forgiveness. We have been loosed from our bondages. We have defected from the powers of darkness and been healed from long standing wounds. We are mighty warriors of “The Light”. No longer can we be complacent about what is going on around us. The enemy is, as he always has been, out to destroy us! We have been inclined to the pattern of “come let us reason together” thinking he is open to negotiations. The only reason the enemy negotiates is to “rob, kill, and destroy us”.The reason we live in this nation is because men and women in the past identified the enemy, drew up the rationale for their actions and “with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.” (Concluding words of the Declaration of Independence) We cannot negotiate with an enemy whose goal is to destroy the character of God and the authority of His Word. We can choose to love our enemies, which does not mean we agree with them or embrace their sinfulness. It means we learn to speak the truth in love and hold fast to the standard of holiness and righteousness with all meekness and humility. It does mean we are clear about sin and passionately love those bound up in their sin, out of their sin. We do not make excuses on God’s behalf, nor do try to explain away His Word. We live and move and have our being grounded in the person of Jesus who confounded both the religious and the sinner continually. Our focus is first and foremost on allowing Him to constantly and continually be the Lord of our lives, being guided by the Holy Spirit in how we think, speak, and act so that God is glorified in us.We are the Son of David’s Gadites, today!Anne S. God’s Amazing Revelations

Paul boldly declares “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him – but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit.” (I Cor. 2:9-10) What Paul declares were Isaiah’s words: “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God beside You, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him. You come to the help of those who gladly do right, who remember Your ways.” (Isaiah 64:4-5a) Isn’t that utterly awesome!!! God has revealed to us what He has prepared for us! Isaiah tells us “God acts on our behalf because we wait for Him”! All to often we see these words; we hear these words and fail to embrace the truth of them. We are inclined to look at our own experiences and in light of them, “water down” the immenseness of them, as well as the truth of them. We have a natural tendency to measure what God has conceived for us on the basis of our relationship with Him, rather than on His relationship with us, and the truth of His Word and His promises. God acts on our behalf as we wait on Him Isaiah said. It would have been so much easier if He had said, “God acts on our behalf when we are about doing our stuff”. “Waiting” has to do with moving deeper in our relationship with “Father”, not in messing around trying to figure out what we are suppose to do, or doing our thing until God gets around to doing His thing. Our challenge is to yield ourselves to Him in order that He can do His thing through us. It is not doing our thing and then asking Him to bless it. Only the Holy Spirit has the power to reveal to us what God has in store for us. When we allow Him to work His work in us, we discover “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God” is able to do for us and through us.As we day by day use the pattern of identification, forgiving, confessing, repenting, receiving forgiveness, cutting bondages, binding and casting out unclean spirits, smash images and receive healing we draw nearer to the heart of God and He comes to help us accomplish His mission and ministry through us. Freedom!!! In times like these, we have a “truth to declare; a love to share and an abundant life to live”. What could be better than that?! - Anne White ... See MoreSee Less
